Hi! My name's Zuzana and I'm the project coordinator at our school. I live in Komárno which is a small historical town in the south of Slovakia. Actually, I was born in Trenčín which is still close to my heart.
I studied English and Russian at Comenius University in Bratislava. As a university student I was offered a job at our Secondary Grammar School so I have been teaching here for quite many years. I have never had any other jobs. But I love being a teacher, working with young people gives me a lot of energy ( sometimes takes it as well ) :)), I like observing the progress of their development and I also have to keep up to date with developments in the subject area, resources and methodology.
There are a lot of activities which give me immense pleasure. I always keep several good books around me and read them at the same time, depending on my mood. A long time ago I attended singing lessons for seven years but I hope nobody will ever want me to sing in public :)) Of course, I enjoy dancing, listening to all kinds of music, travelling, going to the theatre...On the other hand I like knitting, cooking, baking, making pickles and fruit preserves, being a housewife and a mother. I have two sons.
I am very happy that our school can be a part of this cooperation. Although it is our first Comenius project, I hope we will reach all the expectations and enjoy it every minute. I have already met some nice and interesting people and I am looking forward to meeting even more of them.
Hi! My name's Tatiana. I'm an English teacher and I'm looking forward to working on this project. I've worked with several eTwinning projects so far and with one of them we won a national competition last year, but it's my first Comenius project. I believe it's going to be really successful.
I studied applied linguistics at the University of Kiev (Ukraine) and English language teaching at Comenius University in Bratislava. I have worked at our school since 1994. As you can see in the photo, I like travelling (Italy is one of my favourite destinations). I like reading good books in different languages (English, Russian, French, Italian, Slovak and Czech), listening to music and watching good films. At home I have my husband, my son, my dog and my cat (who's always trying to increase the number of our family members with her kittens :).
Hello there,
my name is Adela Čéryová and I am Tatiana´s and Zuzana´s colleague from Komárno, Slovakia. I´ve been teaching English at my school for 16 years now, which I really enjoy. I am married with two children and, as for my interests, my family is my hobby no. 1. Apart from this, I, certainly, have some other hobbies, which include, sports – mainly volleyball, basketball, football, tennis, music, working in my garden, going for long walks by the river with my family, and I love British literature as well. I´m happy I can participate in this project and hope I´ll be able to meet some of you, at least.
